If you are new to our GolfDig.com, we specialize in Golf Auctions and Golf Specials! Over time many readers have asked us for more information on what other golfers are buying and using. It is pretty similar to going out to eat and asking the waiter what is the most popular dish on the menu. It is definitely a smart question. Well we found a really cool widget that will display the top items people are searching for on auctions across the internet. Right now we are featuring the most search Golf Balls:

6/18/2008 Tiger Woods Wins
I don't want to say I called it...but I called it. Tiger took the US Open in dramatic fashion. Cheers to Rocko Mediate for making it so interesting. Now the other day I gave kudos to the PGA for their pairings. This time I have to give the PGA a little knock for holding the playoff round right in the middle of my Monday work day.

6/12/2008 The PGA Got It Right
Pairing up Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson for the first round of the US Open was a perfect move by the PGA. Everyone's favorite golf rivalry lead to ooo's and aah's after every shot. Tiger had a nice comeback after starting off with a double.

6/11/2008 Tiger is Coming Back For You
My main man Tiger is coming back for the US Open and I think he is going to take it. His surgery makes all of us home gamer golfers feel better who have to golf with a sore back, sprained ankle or after a surgery. Go Tiger!

7/1/2007 I Have Not Only Been Playing Golf...
I recently had a Tiger sighting! If you end up going to a tournament, just remember to try and position yourself between two holes to keep the walking to a minimum. If you get the chance I really think you should take the opportunity to see if you can catch a Tiger or few other golf pros.

4/1/2007 Bring on April
April is here and I have been a golfing. I seem to have lost my swing a little but I was still able to pull off a birdie at my local golf course this morning. Oh and next weekend we got The Masters. I have my money on Tiger this year. I know, not an exciting pick, but I think he is going to take it. Does anyone want to bet me?

Golf Review: Tee Time Website

Website: www.golfnow.com

GolfNow.com
has changed the game for me.  GolfNow.com is a free website that offers discount tee times at some of the best courses across the country.  I must admit that before finding GolfNow I was paying full price for each round. This was no way to test out all the great gear I found at GolfDig.com!  At GolfNow you can book discounted tee times, review courses, join the community, earn rewards, and much more.  My favorite feature is the "eMail Club" where GolfNow sends you a list of local discount tee time specials that are up to 70% off the full rate (18 Holes, Cart, and even practice balls if you are lucky). Only a true lover of the game would understand how exciting it can be to receive a daily option to book 18 and a cart for around $15.  The "eMail Club" is totally free!  While it is easy to see how a computerized tee booking network can be beneficial to golf courses, I truly think the service is mutually beneficial to the golfer looking for great rates at a variety of courses around town. I have booked multiple tee times and never had a problem.  I can't wait to book one of the great rates in Las Vegas that include all day golf.  Overall, I am a huge fan of GolfNow.com!

Golf Review: Web Savings Account

Website: www.ingdirect.com
Rating: Incredible Eagle
Bottom Line: A penny saved is a penny earned

You might be asking why in the world I would review the Orange Savings Account at IngDirect.com?  Easy, I think it is my duty to review places to put all the money you save on golf supplies at GolfDig.com.  Also, "Orange" is just that great!  The Orange Savings Account allows you to earn over 3% Annual Percentage Yield on an FDIC-insured savings account. There are absolutely no fees, required minimums or service charges… no matter how much you have on deposit.  My research shows that other Money Market and Savings Account rates at financial institutions across the country simply pale in comparison.  For many years I earned less than a penny on the dollar at my local bank.  The downside to the Orange Savings Account is that your money is not instantly accessible.  The upside, you really do not want instant access to money you are trying to SAVE.  The account does link to your bank using the relatively quick ACH transfer process, but I prefer keep my "Orange" money multiplying.  In closing, "Orange" money will magically turn into "Green Fee" money during my golden years.
